These LED cables are perfect for patching your modular system or semi-modular synths. The high-quality semi-transparent patch cables have colored LED lights in each jack connector that lights up when a signal is passed through the cable. This makes it very easy to see what’s going on in a patch, and is useful for both diagnostics and education.
The LED patch cables are fully compatible with 3.5mm mini jack sockets in any Eurorack system or semi-modular synth, as well as other musical instruments that use 3.5mm mini jacks. The cables are coated in a semi-transparent soft rubber that makes them easy to handle and give them a slight droop for convenient patching.
Each jack connector has a built-in LED that lights up when a signal is going through the cable. Jack connector 1 shows a red light for positive voltages and a green light for negative, while jack connector 2 has green for positive and red for negative. This makes it extremely easy to see what kind of signal that’s being passed through the cable which is useful for diagnosing complex patches.
The LED cables come in either 11.8 inch (30cm) or 23.6 inch (60cm) lengths. These lengths are among the most popular for Eurorack patch cables, with the shorter ones working well within a patchbay or between neighboring modules, and the longer cables better for reaching between modules spaced further apart.
These cables will help you with diagnostics of patches, making it easy to see what’s going on – especially since the two jacks have inverted LED colors.
